About Me

My Background

My love of programming began with a Commodore 64, programming in BASIC and in 6510 machine code.

My work in Telstra processing traffic data satisfied my programming needs but moving on with promotions I drifted away from software development opportunities. After a long career in telecommunications it was time for a change to return to what I enjoy.

To update my skills I completed the Advanced Diploma of IT (Software and Process Improvement). I am seeking a role where I can improve business processes and build creative user friendly websites and applications that will enhance the customer experience and generate better returns for my employer.

Home Site	Get to know more about me at my family website.
Collaborative	Projects completed in collaboration with other professionals. This includes two projects done for the Advanced Diploma course, working in groups of four to six students.
Course Work	Projects that started as course assignments, from the IT course completed at NMIT Epping campus in November 2009.
Joomla	Sites created with the help of Joomla content management system (CMS).
Organisation Work	Commissioned projects I have done for clubs and companies, including sites constructed using Joomla and WordPress.
PHP/MySQL	Sites done with PHP and MySQL database except those done with Joomla and WordPress, even though they use PHP and My SQL.
VB.NET	Applications built with Microsoft's VB.NET
WordPress	Sites created with WordPress, a recent addition to my skill set.
